PS4 Officially Launches In Indonesia

Today, the PlayStation 4 officially launches in Indonesia. You can say it's a historical moment since it's the first time ever (that I know of), any game consoles that made its way to Indonesia is being launched officially in this glorified country. So I must say it's a milestone.

Moving on, it's also official that the PS Vita TV will also launch in Indonesia on February 16th 2014, around the same time as Japan. Not only that, Sony Indonesia will also launch that head-mounted display gear, HMZ-T3.

I got the chance to try out the PS4. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed. The graphics that was hyped about wasn't THAT great at all. So, let me break it down. If you have a PC with a spec of 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 8570, Intel Core i5-760 (like mine) should give you the same quality of graphics. About gameplay, well once again I'm pretty much disappointed. So the touch pad wasn't too useful at all EXCEPT for the Playroom feature implemented inside the PS4. Well, so far at least... Why? cuz almost 90% of the games currently released for PS4 are ported versions of the current gen. yup, In other words, the touch pad that was promoted as an "innovation" isn't THAT innovative compared to the Wii U's INTERACTIVE touch screen.

Well, nevertheless I'm still proud that finally a console is OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED in Indonesia. So, for those of you who wants to grab a PS4, make sure that it's an official one from SONY INDONESIA. It's IDR 6.999.000 (around USD 600) by the way... for the Vita TV, it's IDR 4.000.000  (USD 400) and for the head-mounted display IDR 10.000.000 (USD 1000). Yep, those prices includes imported electronic goods tax 50% and a seperate import tax 10 %. Yup, Indonesians are greedy if it concerns taxes.
