1993-Space Machine, A Game Developped 20 Years Ago Finally Set To Be Released In 2014

Believe it or not, dreams do come true, although sometimes it takes time. When I mean "time", it means "a very long time". That's exactly what indie game developer Modesty is experiencing right now.

Introducing the game "1993-Space Machine". A side-scrolling space shooter made by Swedish game developer Modesty. Believe it or not, this game was made around 20 years ago, thus baring the year of the creation, 1993. The game itself was actually created for the Commodore Amiga system, that old school gaming hardware that looks like your daddy's computer back in the days. But good news, this game will actually launch for PC this year.

1993-Space Machine was a project created by four teens with big dreams back in the days. The group was enthusiastic about the project but grew desperate in finding a publisher willing to take release their game, thus splitting the group apart. But the original designer of the game and current Modesty designer Kirsten Karlsson hasn't given up his dreams and took this game once again for another chance. Karlsson said the studio hasn't changed anything from the original game except for adding an engine that works on today's systems and the title of the game itself.

Well, in my opinion, Modesty took the right time to release this game. Games with "retro feels" are highly on demand these days. But 1993-Space Machine was not made to look retro because it is retro by itself. So, my salute to Modesty.

1993-Space Machine is currently asking for support in Steam Greenlight. So if you like 1993-Space Machine, go over there right now to realize Modesty's dream!
